Every year we have 2 fixed departure trips for those who are interested in honey hunting adventure. Honey hunting or honey harvesting is the gathering Honey from the nests of wild Bees built on steep cliffs is an age-old tradition and is one of the most ancient human activities and is still practiced by indigenous Gurung and Magar tribesmen of west-central Nepal.

Joining our honey hunting trips is an opportunity to watch honey hunter's exceptional skills of local honey hunters hanging themselves from cliffs as high as 300 meters using Bamboo ladders and hemp ropes, while harvesting the honeycombs. The period of October-November in winter and April-May in summer are considered the main seasons for honey harvesting.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu, will transfer to Hotel. O/n at Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu – Besishahar (5hr Drive) by Tourist coach. O/n at hotel.

Day 03 : Besishahar – Ghalegaun (6-7hr trek). O/n local lodge.

Day 04: Ghalegaun – Bhujung (3hrs trek). O/n local lodge.

Day 05: Bhujung – Thaku Bhir (hunting place). O/n camping.

Day 06: ThakuBhir (Free day to watching hunting). O/n camping.

Day 07: ThakuBhir – Bhujung (3hrs trek). O/n local lodge.

Day 08: Bhujung – Besishahar (6hrs trek back). O/n at Hotel.

Day 09: Besishahar – Kathmandu. (5hrs Drive Back). by Tourist coach O/n at Hotel.

Day 10: Kathmandu O/n at Hotel.

Day 11: Departure onward.
