Kanchanjunga Base Camp Trek

Kanchenjunga (8598m) is Nepal’s second highest peak and ranked world’s third highest lies in between Nepal and Indian boarder of Sikkim state in the far northeast. Day to day Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrival in Nepal, Airport to hotel transfer.

  • Day 02: Sightseeing tour around Kathmandu. Meeting with your trekking team.

  • Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Basantapur by night bus service.

  • Day 04: Trek Basantapur (2200m) to Chauki (2700m).

  • Day 05: Trek Chauki (2700m) to Gupa Pokhari (2930m).

  • Day 06: Trek Gupa Pokhari (2930m) to Nesume (1620m).

  • Day 07: Trek Nesume (1620m) to Thumma (750m).

  • Day 08: Trek Thumma (750m) to Chirwa (1190m).

  • Day 09: Trek Chirwa (1190m) to Sekathum (1640m).

  • Day 10: Trek Sekathum (1640m) to Amjilesa (2490m).

  • Day 11: Trek Amjilassa (2490m) to Kayapra/Gyabla (2730m).

  • Day 12: Trek Kyapra/Gyabla (2730m) to Ghunsa (3430m).

  • Day 13: Acclimatization day at Ghunsa (3430m), explore around and rest.

  • Day 14: Trek Ghunsa (3430m) to Khambachen (4040m).

  • Day 15: Trek Khambachen (4040m) to Lhonak (4790m).

  • Day 16: Trek Lhonak (4790m) to Pangpema (5140m).

  • Day 17: Explore Northern Kanchenjunga Base Camp beyond of Pangpema and trek back Khambachen (4040m).

  • Day 18: Trek Khambechen (4040m) back to Gunsa (3430m).

  • Day 19: Trek Gunsa (3430m) to Seleley Phedi (4210m) cross Tamo La (3900m) Unnamed Pass (4115m).

  • Day 20: Trek to cross Seleley Pass/Mirgin La Pass (4650m) Sinion La (4660m) to Tseram (3870m).

  • Day 21: Trek Tseram (3870m) to Ramche (4620m).

  • Day 22: Explore Southern Kanchenjunga Base Camp and Yalung Glacier around.

  • Day 23: Trek back Ramche (4620m) to Torotang (3000m).

  • Day 24: Trek Torotang to Yamphuddin (1690m).

  • Day 25: Trek Yamphudin to Keswa (1960m).

  • Day 26: Trek Keswa to Lali Kharka (2220m).

  • Day 27: Trek Lalikharka (2220m) to Taplejung (2300m). Trekking ends here.

  • Day 28: Drive Taplejung to Ilam by Bus and afternoon Sightseeing in Tea Garden of Ilam.

  • Day 29: Drive Ilam to Kathmandu by Night Bus. Hotel transfer in Kathmandu.

  • Day 30: Free day in Kathmandu for your own activities.

  • Day 31: Transfer to airport for your flight back to home.
